      Dannon light n fit greek yogurt, a bunch of blueberries mixed in, raspberries on top, a tsp of chia seeds and a little bit of low sugar gronala on top is my holy grail night time snack since I’ve started eating better! It looks beautiful, taste great, healthy and makes u feel like your eating an awesome dessert! It’s great without the granola too, you could put like shaved almonds on top or whatever u prefer. But greek yogurt is definitely a big staple in my diet these days for sure! Tons of protein which is great! Keep up the good work! I’ll definitely be trying out your snacks! Thank you!

    this video is so important because people need to understand that you cant just go from 0 to 100% healthy that easily but every step is a step! and its okay to still have things that might not be great for you if you balance it slowly but surely out. its just a healthy way to eating healthier and unlike the unrealistic instagram standards where it seems like being healthy (and loosing weight) is so easy. thank you jaclyn!

      100%!!!! I’m proud of Jaclyn for sharing this, she has such a huge platform and this “tip” is vital. Do what’s manageable for YOU, don’t cut out everything you love, because it’s likely that’ll make you feel miserable and feel like you’re on a, “diet”. Put as many Whole Foods into your body and just do *your* best from day to day!

      Moderation is key.. you don't have to completely deprive yourself of junk food and things you like, just do it moderately or occasionally.

    the fact that she still says “i’m gonna go in with….” as if she’s doing a makeup tutorial 😂😂 it’s iconic. also, jac, just know you CAN STILL have that crumbl cookie that you crave when you need one. try not to completely cut out your favorite foods! just make small healthy improvements which is what you’re doing here! love it👏🏼

    I’ve been making the smoothie almost everyday and it’s sooo good! I add protein or meal replacement to mine just depending on what I need for the day and it’s amazing! One thing I will say is just don’t drink it before bed or you will be up peeing in the middle of the night a few times 😂 not a bad thing, just a warning. It’s super good though lol

    love these snacks, but also just a PSA: carbs aren’t bad for you! they are literally the biggest source of energy that our body NEEDS. just because one food choice is right for one person, doesn’t mean it’s right for everyone. :-)

      She's still eating other forms of carbs, but swapping refined grains for less processed grains (and seeds, like with Ezekiel bread) is definitely a good way to get more vitamins, minerals, fiber, and protein.
      It's not a swap that everyone prefers (i certainly don't eat much whole grains, even being as health-conscious as i am) but if it's something she likes, then it's definitely not a problem. Especially because she's clearly also eating fruit, which is some of the healthiest carbs you can get :)
      (the lettuce tacos are definitely more about cutting down calories, because tortillas are usually just a lot of empty calories... definitely tasty and they definitely can have a place in a well-balanced diet, but again, she's still eating some forms of carbs so it's not like she's going into ketosis from having lettuce tacos)

    I am so happy with Jaclyn doing these snack videos and recipes and everything!! Because I was suffering from eating disorder since the past six years and I don’t really crave for anything and I can’t eat anything but whenever I see her videos and her explaining how yummy these things are it actually makes me want to eat and makes me feel hungry so it’s actually helping me with my disorder!

    Jaclyn, I’m vegan & I really enjoyed this :) I do a similar breakfast thing either on toast or a bagel with cream cheese, avocado or hummus, tomato, onion, cucumber, & everything but the bagel seasoning.
    Also- for the smoothies pineapple or mango can really help sweeten it up as well.
    I could even do the tacos with vegan meat or some tofu and season it up

      I made the smoothie too but it was kinda crunchy/thick. I’m assuming because of the skin, but I don’t want to peel the fruits since a lot of nutrients are in the skin. Any tips? Thanks!

    I am so happy you are starting this journey ❤️ remember that food is not “good” or “bad”. Food is simply fuel. And carbs and fats are not horrible either. You need certain amounts of both to function at your best. Food is fuel babes! I recommend just tracking it. You got this! 🙌🏼

    I really appreciate that these are genuinely simple recipes, nothing weird or fancy. I for one will never ditch carbs, I couldn't do the lettuce wraps. Cheese can go tho. To each their own.

    Knowing yourself and things you can’t cut out or you’d fall off of the wagon is the best tool. It’s not a sprint it a marathon ❤️ love you

      Love the realistic and practical comment!! Sometimes you still need Doritos or ice cream, so you can just have them less often or smaller portions if you are trying to eat less of it. I would also argue that super strict diets can be bad for the mental health of the average person. (If it is making you feel good, that’s perfectly fine!) Remembering to be patient is also so underrated and difficult 🤣

    i'd love an all vegan episode!! (you may even surprise yourself discovering some of the alternatives (been dairy free for five plus years and many of the plant based choices are just as good (only one thats lacking is hard/melty cheese so far (soft cheeses they have nailed though like cream cheese/ricotta are so good))

    All of these look sooo good! I am hungry now! For the smoothie, I have found using a very ripe banana makes the smoothie a lot sweeter!
    For the tacos, try sprinkling some lime on them too, it reallly brings out the cilantro flavor!

    One more thing:
    I’m Mexican so salsas and Chile are an absolute must at my house! There isn’t one meal without some sort of hot sauce or whatever…
    That being said
    Have u ever tried to make ur own salsa?! Like REAL salsa ?! None of that pace picante shit! Lol
    Take some tomatillos, some tomatoes some jalapeños ( however much u can handle ) and ur gunna roast them on the stove we use what we call the COMAL
    Which is like a cast iron skillet but flat … lol hope ur understanding…
    So u basically turn the veggies till they are nice and chard all around so that the skins are almost coming off
    After that u can either leave the skins on or take them off whichever u prefer and u throw them into a blender add a half clove of garlic ( or more if u want ) a healthy pinch of sea salt and water to about half the blender . Blend that shit up! Nice and smooth!
    Taste check! Add accordingly
    Finally ur gunna cube some fresh tomatoes and fresh avocado , onion and cilantro
    (Add lime too if u want but try it without first! ) and just mix those ingredients in and there u go! Enjoy that shit all week long on ur tacos or whatever you want!
    Much love bitch I would never tell anyone that recipe but I love ur love for spice!
    Btw u can modify that recipe however u see fit
    We even add some roasted CHILE DE ARBOL
    Which are basically hot as fuckkkk!! So ya use ur imagination the point is to really char those veggies on a skillet or whatever and bring the Smokey flavor out mmmmmm so fucken good!
    Kk bye bitch! Hurry up and make it!!!

    These are actually really good! I have been trying to cut out more processed foods to for my family but I find I have a hard time making quick meals. Please do more of these short and healthy meal ideas! Love it!

    I personally don't like the term "guilt free" when it comes to food. Eating something, anything, shouldn't be accompanied with a feeling of guilt, or relief because you don't feel guilty. Every food has its purpose, and I think labelling something as "guilt free" only enables a not so healthy relationship with food.
    It's all about balance ❤️
    Puting that aside, everything looks delisshhhhh 😋🤤

      I think you are reading too deep into it. People try to get healthy and people call if “unhealthy” relationship with food these days. She clearly finds comfort in food and is trying to get healthier. Nothing is wrong with that.

      @kandigma regardless if they were put here for us to eat them or not, they were not "put here" with the intent to be tortured and mutilated like they are...it's not eating meat that's a problem, it's the meat and dairy industry treating the animals so horribly that's the problem

    As someone going to school to be a registered dietitian, we are all about balance, variety and moderation. Nothing wrong with processed foods because they all provide energy. Sometimes Doritos and beans just hit that spot compared to a smoothie. Carbs are essential for energy especially when doing specific types of activity. Totally understand watching adding sugars and some simple carbs but once again, they all have a purpose at specific times. You can totally have a cookie as long as it’s not replacing meals. I still eat Chick-fil-a occasionally but it’s okay considering I’m all about balance

      Couldn’t agree more! I’m in school to become a sports dietitian and nothing drives me bonkers is when people say oh that food is bad for you…… No, it may be less nutritious… but no food is “bad”. We all need to learn how to live a balance lifestyle. Fill up on nutritious food and then we can still enjoy the “junk”.

    I just made the smoothie (replaced the kale with cabbage bc I didn't have it) and it's really good! It has a hint of sweetness which is just enough to not make me add any more sweetening stuff! Thanks for this Jaclyn! x

    I make versions of these all the time at home, they’re soo good!
    Also if you want more texture/crunch for your nut butter/banana snacks I like to add granola ontop of the bananas then finish with the honey drizzle!

    We love the Taco Bell seasoning!!!!! I have never looked at the ingredients so I'm not about it's 'healthiness', but it tastes really good! We add salsa to our ground turkey too after it's browned. I loved this video! 💚

    So glad you mentioned using a blender rather than a juicer! You’re absolutely right; the fiber is the most important part! Fiber prevents the spike in your blood sugar, and the crash afterwards, and necessary for digestion.

      When you have a real unhealthy relationship with food then yes you will feel guilty. If you over eat and eat like crap all day that’s not okay.

    All of these snacks sound so yummy 😋. My husband and I really love that green chalula. We make the grinch hot wings. Well that’s what we call them. We air fry the wings and add the green chalula to them. They are amazing.

    I love this video, Jaclyn. It's about a healthy lifestyle and still promotes a healthy relationship with food. As somebody who has had to work through a dysfunctional relationship with food, I have some opinions (though they may not be to everybody's liking). I think having a healthy approach to eating really starts with mentality. At the clinic I went to, the number one thing they taught us was about intuitive eating was to use a hunger scale: it's best to stay between 3 and 6 because you eat to be satiated. You should never feel starving, nor uncomfortably full. We are also taught to try not to eat in front of a tv or computer because you're either too distracted to eat enough, or you eat too much because you're not mentally registering what signals your body is sending to your brain. Another lesson was that there is no such thing as good and bad food. All in moderation. And no "cheat days" either because it encourages unhealthy eating habits. The whole idea of listening to your body and chewing properly really creates a healthy relationship between your mind and body. You can work out which foods don't agree with you. For instance, I can't eat raw kale - instead I substitute it with parsley. Kale is a super fibrous vegetable and it's pretty hard on my stomach. Also, I can only eat 1/2 an avo a day. I use to eat a whole one and wonder why I had stomach aches afterwards. I don't eat more than a couple pieces of fruit a day because they're a carbohydrate and I like to still eat bread etc. If I eat pizza (I live in Italy!), I eat a few slices and a side of salad. I eat heavier meals like pasta for lunch, not dinner. If people are interested in learning more about the mental side, there are two really great books: 1) Just eat it: how intuitive eating can help you get your shit together around food by Laura Thomas Phd, and 2) The Brain Over Binge Recovery Guide (the second book, not the first one). It's not just for people with Bulimia, it's good for anyone who wants to mend their relationship with food. This comment is long, I know, it's just that dieting or telling other people how to eat can be dangerous that why I love Jaclyn's approach in this video.
